all my friend erin wanted two christmases ago was for her friends to make her something with a bird. it could be a drawing, a clip-art, a 3-d model...whatever creative outlet we wanted to take!
it was a really nice day (not wintery at all!) the day i motivated myself to finally make her something. this gave me the idea to go outside my apartment and forage for something natural for my bird interpretation. that, and i didn't have any colored pencils.
click to expandI ended up taking some leaves off of trees and a bird of paradise flower for my bird. Using the rest of the petals, I opened it up and rubbed it on the paper to create the orange hue.
