lace for summer!

Lately, I have been really obsessed with lace--lace skirts, tops, and dresses. There is something super girly yet chic and sophisticated about it and I want to capture all of that in my own wardrobe.

My new goal is to start dressing more maturely because my face is seriously like Tuck Everlasting, and I am tired of getting carded two or three times in the same bar because they can't believe that I'm not 12. Also, I have a horrible habit of wearing things like glittery bow belts every day (fact: I do have one and I do wear it often).

Of course, I'm not saying I'm abandoning my joie de vivre and wearing old lady lace.

I will use these 3.1 Phillip Lim outfits in his Resort 2010 collection as inspiration to be young and modern, while keepin' in classy.

Below, some cheaper alternatives (courtesy of Forever 21) to keep your own closet lace-happy.

Lace Overlay Tunic | Lace Bubble Skirt

Floral Lace Overlay Skirt | Shirley Lace Bow Top
